Actually, this isn't entirely true. Most Mazdas are still very much 
Mazdas, but not all Jaguars are rear wheel drive NOW - do you REALLY 
think the X-Type is 4WD because Jaguar wanted the extra traction? It's 
just the easiest way to make a FWD chassis (ie the Mondeo's) appear 
more competitive with the BMW 3 and Toyota Altezza. The cheapest Jag 
X-Type is, indeed, FWD.
