Forgive me being pedantic, but if this vessel is precisely one Barn in
cross-section, then I do not see how bubbles could rise at any rate, a
bubble being by definition a group of molecules - CO2 mainly - bound
together by the surface tension of the liquid. Molecules being larger than
atoms, and therefore measured in multiples of Barns, molecules, and
certainly bubbles, could not exist within this vessel.

It would, therefore, mean the end of over-gassed beer, for which we should
all give praise.

Peter: did the article give any hint as to why this very small measurement
has been given the entirely inappropriate name Barn?
