I hope you don't mind me posting this but, I thought it might be of
interest.
After discussions with people like Rob, and emails like this one
below - from Tyler, earlier in the year,
I am involved with running on line da Vinci color grading courses, in
sync with DOP
Hopefully it will allow a meeting of minds between compositors and
colorists.
The course will be covering a lot, from on set to DI and it will
start with da Vinci 2K and Resolve.
Since you could argue da Vinci is the most widely used professional
colour correction system in global use today.
(- although Scratch, Lustre and other systems are all ones we hope to
cover in coming months).
The training courses are not free but we aim to offer both download
training and some 'real time' tutorials
the da Vinci training is part of www.fxphd.com,
and it is being done with the help and co-operation of the really
helpful Singapore da Vinci team (thanks Peter!)
thanks guys
Mike
