vtr/disc which obviously records full 1920 pixels at a lower/no compression
rate.
Using HDcam, as for this short, results in pre-filtered (reduced bandwidth)
1440 pixels being recorded and heavy compression. This was used throughout
for this short.

If you know different about how Episode II was recorded please let us know.
I respect you knowledge as being far greater than mine! You can also let us
know about the real HDcam recording format as what I have said above I have
pulled out of my (sodden!) brain without looking up the true figures.

I also performed a 400% blowup on the HDcam material and directly compared
it with similar (not the same) material shot on Vision2 OCN scanned at 2K
(via a Genesis scanner so 4K scanned and Nyquist interpolated to 2K). The
HDcam material looked much better. Obviously, this was well shot HD with no
(little) noise vs. the grain of the film material.
