[Tig] Daily Tk transfer to DVD

Hello.

When I visited LA post house some years ago, they told me they tranfer 
dailies to DVD for DoPs to view and check.
Perhaps, the same way is used in other countries of the world. Yes?

Do you use "home" DVD recorder? Or, do you use something more professional? 
Would you please advise?


In Japan, -R/-RW/-RAM formats seem primary ones,
and it seems most PCs can playback DVDs, if recorded in these formats.

What about in your countries? Are such formats as +R/+RW predominant, as 
well? Please let me know.
