Hi Kishino,

Here in Australia TVC dailies are mostly DVD-R discs made in standard DVD
recorders. The quality is fine as long as the best quality setting is used.
Directors like Mini DV so they can make a rough cut on their laptops.
I worked on a show last year that required menus that selected  the A, B or
C cameras, these disks were authored then burnt in a DVD burner. A run of 6
copies were then produced in a copying tower.
