As a minor clarification to Richard's excellent post, R,G,B and Y are
(assuming 10-bit) nominally 64->940, but Cb and Cr are nominally
64->960.  Having it any other way would just be too easy.

I'll also note that there are production companies shooting in
SMPTE-range dual-link RGB, although I've only seen this when they are
reshooting all the stock footage they already had in SD.  The thinking
seems to be "if I have to shoot all this again for HD, I'm only going to
do it ONCE".
