[Tig] Xsan

XSAN is based on the ADIC StoreNext filesystem. If I'm not mistaken, it is actually the same thing, just priced a bit lower due to higher volume purchases from Mac users.

Although we don't run XSAN (proper), we do run ADIC StoreNext filesystem (for use on Linux and Windows) in conjunction with an XRAID, da Vinci Resolve and DVS DDR. We are doing 2K work in real time with no problems. I will say that I spent a fair amount of time tweaking the settings with the XRAID config to get the best bandwidth. I even made a chart outlining the settings.

Although my tests were done with a da Vinci disk speed test utility, I think the XRAID settings will apply to most purposes. If there's enough interest, I can post the document here.
