[Tig] General Test Methods for All Post-Production Equipments

Hi Everyone,

 

We have Avid DS, Lustre, DVS, Flame, Illusion, ARRILaser, ARRIScan, Spirit,
DaVinci and Apple Final Cut in our facility. And I am trying to make a set
of test methods to make all our equipments work properly, perfectly, and
smoothly. All the HD-SDI or SD-HDI signals, dpx, tiff, tga files etc. go
through all our equipments lossless. Here are what I have thought about, let
the standard test signal or image files like 100% and 75% color bars, SMPTE
Bars, Standard R G and B images, some MutiBurst signals in YCrCb 422, go
through these machines, render or just playback those signals and files,
then I want to check the outputs on a waveform monitor to see if they are
the same as the originals. 

 

But I am quite a fish in this, I am not sure if my methods are good enough
or very efficiency, so if anyone have any idea about these please do not
hesitate. I am here waiting for all your brilliances.
