Gamma and Density Co.
Exhibiting at Booth # SL3827i
3cP, a working on-set color correction system, continues to offer
cinematographers and colorists the best in today's Image Management
Los Angeles, CA - April 9th 2007 - Gamma and Density Co.
(www.gammaanddensity.com) will present the new version of its on-set
color correction program, 3cP (Cinematographer?s Color Correction
Program)
With the track record of 17 major feature films and TV productions
such as ?The Tudors?, ?10,000 BC?, ?Kite Runner?, ?Babel? and ?Iron
Man? currently in production including, 3cP is now an established,
reliable tool, that facilitates precise communication between DPs and
colorists.
Well known to American, Canadian and European cinematographers, 3cP
has been used on locations and in tele-cine facilities around the
world and is now an item that is even asked for by directors,
producers and special effects supervisors. The reason for that is:
3cp ensures precise communication between DPs and colorists and saves
time and money for post-production (specifically at tele-cine,
special effects and DI stages).
Ousama Rawi, BSC, CSC, DP of prime-time TV Series ?The
Tudors? (Showtime) that was shot with HD cameras F900 and F950
comments: "Using 3cP led to dailies with no misunderstandings. Every
scene was transferred accurately. The final timing sessions took less
than half the allotted time to complete. That is remarkable.?.
The system?s sophisticated simplicity accommodates both printer-
lights-versed and HD/DV cam scopes-savvy generation of DPs by
providing them with the tools well familiar to each camp.
One of the major advantages of 3cP over all other competitors that
are out there today is an excellent services package that the system
comes with. Most importantly, it includes profiling and calibration
of any production cameras (HD, SD, still) and monitors -- all based
on built-in calibration tools and patented 3cP-E (electronic) and
3cP-1 color charts.
Great for mixed format productions (such as was ?Babel?), 3cP is as
easily adjustable to a variety of personal DP styles as it is
compatible with practically all film and HD/DV cam and DI workflows.
Many major post-houses who provide tele-cine and DI services to
Hollywood have appreciated advantages of having 3cP as a
communication pipeline between themselves and the set.
No wonder, because all of the color information (including 3D LUTs)
generated by 3cP on set needs no further conversion to accommodate
post-production color correctors. Neither tele-cine nor DI facilities
need any additional software/hardware to include 3cP into their
workflow.
The latest incarnation of 3cP allows cinematographers to export and
interchange color correction decisions to the ASC CDL, Assimilate,
the Final Touch and Color Finesse color correctors, the LUTher color
space converter and Cine-tal monitors.
3cP doesn't dictate anything - from the inception/idea stage, it's
designed to fit organically into projects, workflow and any color
corrector. This makes for a smooth transition from on-set color
correction to dailies, and from pre-post to final correction of the
DI and Digital Cinema Projection, all using the same toolbox.

> Las Vegas, NV , April 12, 2007 - Silicon Imaging, Inc., leader in
