Plasma TVs produce a pretty (bright) picture but they are limited by
basic physics. The cells need to be electrically pulsed and dark
pixels result in very low pulse rates which means that the color
resolution close to black is very poor. Vendors have figured out how
to avoid the obvious dark "pooling" of earlier panels but the basic
device physics still applies. Plasma is definitely not suitable for
grading.
