The recent news of BBC getting closer and closer ties with Microsoft
(requiring Windows for their new media player) is surely feeding the flames
in this regard.

I still can't fathom that the Beeb, which retains a unique reputation IMHO,
would make this move. Intuition says me there's got to be _lots_ of money
involved.
