[Tig] article in S&V on Warner Bros./Blade Runner

Certain articles states that all (?) the 65mm FX footage was scanned at 8K, anyone knows what kind of elements were used, were they optical dupes or did they go all the way back and scan and composite separate fx elements in the 8K domain? I read something in an interview which indicated that.was done for the opening sequence.
