    The "MicroCam" was indeed developed at CBS Laboratories, under  
the direction of Ren McMann following specifications from the  
network. When Thomson CSF purchased the Professional Products  
Division of CBS Labs in 1975 they inherited the design/product and  
marketed it under their brand.
