MY 2¢ We had a bunch of these at Compact Video with one on each of the four AVR-1's in each on-line edit suite. Some were equipped with the optional SENSOR unit which I think gave the unit its AUTOMATIC mode. I just remember that the control panel pots got noisy just at the desired settings.
