exactly. well you see we had memorized the frequency out to several
decimal places, and were justly proud of that, so it had to go on the
slates. The whole idea of slates had became a form of promotion, which
is why we decided to put our own photos on them, and advertise our
mental capacities.

These days, the subcarrier frequency is directly related to the
punctuality of the sandwich delivery from that ubiquitous lunch
franchise.
