Ahhh, fond memories of the high school computer class field trip to  
DEC's mill building in Maynard MA.  After the tour, they let us loose  
in a lab and we each had our own PDP-8 to play with for the  
afternoon.  Scary thing... I think I still have the programmer's  
reference card.. along with some PDP-11/44 manuals from later  
endeavors at GenRad.

For years my dream computer was a PDP-8 w/64K RAM,  ASR-33 and a  
Fortran Compiler (anyone remember the Heathkit versions?).  You could  
do *anything* with that!!
