Dear TIG,

For VFX elements of Pin-registered 1" transfers they came from Price
Pethel and Don Lee at CIS from their custom transfer system.
Motion Control of Ships was shot at Image G stages.

VFX were done for TNG at The Post Group Hollywood
I was assisting on seasons 2 and 3. 87-88
Fred Ramondi and Peter Moyer were the main guys.
GVG 300 switcher, ADO, A-62 Sony 1" BVH-2000's.

Milestone was recording rgb thru a Farouja encoded out of the A-62 to
one of the 1st D1 machines in the US. a brand new format at the time
1987 maybe.?
Had to convince Unitel that this was the future so they had to buy one.

Show then went to Digital Magic with Rich Thorne.
Don Greenberg Adam Howard and others did VFX there.

Rob Legato was VFX sup with
Dan Curry Ron Moore and David Takemura as the Client VFP sups from production.

Pretty Star studded cast.

Ah memories of the streaks and twinkles 1" tape named for the Beam
In's & Outs Transporter effect.
