with the gravity on Mars .38 that of Earth's, the height of

the ramifications of any discovery of previous or current life on  
Mars would be beyond
imagination, enormous (taking your comment seriously).  But I doubt  
sincerely that if
this were to occur that anyone outside of a very restricted group  
would ever know about it.
