[Tig] earthlink blocking independent ISPs

Right... Although the ISP policy is another debate, it becomes a problem for all the people that use mail-based forums such as TIG and others because the email traffic is considered as abnormal (lots of mails sent and received) and the tools they use for monitoring this do not "read" emails to check if the TIG is a respectable forum or a spam-mechanism...
However we (users) shall at least have the possibility to notify the ISP about the problems we have... but they barely listen to than and sometimes they do not event understand the problems (I mean their technicians or non-qualified-phone-operators they employ).
And that's where things become complicated...
For example the Avid DS forum on google groups generates hundreds of emails per day. Most of the users have either a gmail or a hotmail address (in order not to pollute their company's email account. This is easily regarded as potential spam addresses... and the problem is quiet unsolvable

well the situation becomes very difficult for their subscribers,
so I have sympathy in the adversity the rules create for these
subscribers. It's a fairly severe policy, but they have the
right to do anything they want, if the court of public opinion
allows it, and their subscribers allow it (though in fairness,
this is an issue slightly more complex than many internet users
are familiar with).
suggestions for how to cope with this and some background for anyone
curious about the situation are provided at
