actually Dan the TIG mailinglist traffic per se is not responsible
for the problem with earthlink rejection: the problem is the IP
address of the submitting host, and the blacklisting policy at
earthlink. TIG mail follows all the RFCs in its header writing and
should never trigger any kind of spam mechanism, unless that
mechanism is quite broken.
