It is clear that the noisy image looks sharper and it entirely masks
the girl's apparent skin disease. :-)
The problem with random noise in a transmission system is that it
causes considerable harm if it is injected before the signal is sent.
If it is added after the signal is received (e.g. in the TV), then it
helps mask defects without burdening the transmission system.
Particularly it helps mask image blur and apparent banding.
