There's definitely a color feedback function between fashion,  
architecture/interior
design, art (painting), automobiles, and video art (including  
commercials).   I think
the colors change more often than per decade; in the fashion world  
they change
seasonally, but I think there's some kind of longer-duration curve  
that takes at least
a year or two to kick in.
