VE2BZK, my ticket from Quebec, which I still renew, but I haven't been active
in over three decades. Used to do a fair amount of VHF and UHF stuff,
installing and maintaining repeaters and so on, back in the all-tube days.
Since you had to be at least 13 to get a ticket in Canada at the time, there
was a moment when I was the youngest licensed Ham in Canada, having gone down
to what was then the DOC (Department Of Communications) and passed the code
and written test on the morning of my 13th birthday. I was ready for the test
since I was 11, and counted the days until I could get on the air.
Funny how priorities change.
