[Tig] Color Render times question

I'd plan on about a second per frame for HD material. Split your
show up into reels, as crashes happen. I haven't graded a long form
show yet in color, but Final Touch had a nasty habit of refusing to
open project files once there were too many events in the timeline.
I got in the habit of saving each grade with a clip number (eg. 001,
002, etc) in case this happened. Faster than naming it with long
clip names, and the grades save in separate files in their very own
bin of your choosing.
I haven't tried a render farm, so I can't comment on that.
Also, Color doesn't like interlaced material. If you plan on doing
more than just primary grades, you might consider de-interlacing your
show prior to sending to Color. There is an update : v1.01,
which addresses broadcast safe, stability issues nVidia graphics card
support, etc.
