just discovered the webcam at R!OT NYC, 45th and 5th.  Out of 20  
quasi-identifiable vehicles at the traffic light, 10 were taxicabs.   
This is about the same ratio as existed in 1976, when I had the  
unique opportunity to be a hack in that town.  Do they have GPS now,  
and do the garages (do they still exist?  the one I worked out of was  
just like the one in the TV series Taxi, minus Marilu Henner.  (who  
ended up as the wife of a client of mine in LA; also Jeff Conaway and  
I were schoolmates in college.)
