If they're smart, they will care. Sliga's probably lurking but I'll
bet dollars to donuts that he can't post to this list any more due a
tight NDA with Apple that all employees have to sign.
The product manager is a former Avid employee named Steve Bayes, who
was in charge of Symphony. Steve's used to dealing with the highest
level of post-production professionals and I'm sure he'll be
responsive to the real colorists who are trying to use these tools.
Should I invite him to comment on this list if he can? He might be
under the same NDA as Bob, but he's a smart, good guy.
(I do not work for either Apple or Avid, though I used to be a
consultant for Avid.)
Having a workflow that enables the professional services of a real
colorist as a client tries to get their project out of FCP only makes
sense.
