Aye, that's the rub. So we blow our brains out maintaining workflow  
at top resolution, etc., but it can't be transmitted in such a way  
that the consumer can see it, copy it, or otherwise enjoy it the way  
it was produced, for fear that the 'owners' will lose control of it.

By the way...   "who" is actually paying for it? ... and in that  
case, effectively "owns" it?
