Recently I've had the same experience from the elder's perspective with
two kids; they just ignored me and left the theater until I emerged, at
which point they couldn't believe I wanted to talk to the manager about
the projection policy (that the projectionist stopped the film in the
middle of the credits). Generation clash. Completely understandable,
when I think of how I felt as a kid when my father wore a beret on
excursions into town (ohmygod not the beret again! I hope we don't run
into any of my friends).
