I find this hilarious in light of the fact that every single image I've ever
seen come out of ANY military video installation always looks like it was shot
with a black and white vidicon surveillance camera using 12AX7 tubes for
signal processing. The stuff always looks MUCH worse than any security camera
at any convenience store. I've always considered it another example of my tax
dollars at work, buying $30K 250 line vidicon cameras.
Now I have no doubt that they military has some VERY sophisticated stuff
around and, please, no emails about how you know all these secrets about 8K
resolution cameras that work in less than available light and weigh two pounds
and if you told me about them you'd have to kill me. But the stuff they show
the public is laughable crap.
Also, isn't there something in the Patriot Act about using the words
"military", "simple" and "cheap" in the same sentence? I believe it's grounds
to be labeled an Enemy Combatant...don't worry Rob, I hear Cuba's lovely this
time of year.
