I guess I fall into the category facility owners should be *really*
worried about - experienced professionals using these low-cost tools
to open their own shops.
IF you're the guy responsible for the financing of operations whose
business model is built around scarcity of resources, you should be
very nervous.
If you're the talented, well-paid creative - the future is bright so
long as you don't mind taking that future into your own hands.

I get these too. These folks quote me the price they *think* it'll
cost to build my suite, spec'ed out from BH Photo.
If you spend a few minutes on the phone with these people, most of
the projects they're trying to finish/salvage/color correct have been
an 18 month odyssey of terror. They're not a threat, not really. 5
years ago those projects wouldn't have even been attempted. IMO,
they're more an example of the expanding universe of projects being
attempted rather than an example of existing projects being dumbed down.
