[Tig] semantics: definition vs. resolution

I think in the audio world a good engineer would describe definition as
being a measure of samples and resolution as being a measure of quality per
sample (or vice versa - I'm not 100% sure). At least, that's the way I
recall my old boss describing it, and I generally accepted what he said. So
the picture world equivalent would mean high-definition = more pixels while
high-resolution = more bits per channel, etc. If there's a distinction to be
made between using the terms, that makes more sense to me than anything else
I've heard.

I propose we also incorporate the terms resonition and defilution into our
industry vernacular. I'll get started on a SMPTE paper to explain their
use... p)
