The reference to Mumbai wasn't a jab at Indian talent, I was just citing the
example someone else had given. I don't feel at all insecure about the idea
of clients remoting to services outside of my locale - there's already
plenty of competition and a little more won't break the camel's back. I'm
just objectively fascinated at the questions a low cost DI tool like Apple
Color raises and genuinely interested in the idea of remote workflow with
it. I haven't given it a lot of thought before.

I've was talking about the idea of clients taking remote sessions with
facilities because they have the *cheapest* systems available and therefore
the cheapest prices. The subject began as a discussion about Apple Color
possibly creating this as a new business model - as in its not currently
being done. I'm saying clients will remote with services that offer the same
or better service as they'd get locally, but not for inferior service. That
doesn't mean there aren't quality services in other countries, it just means
I don't think someone could go grab a bunch of inexperienced colorists with
Apple Color and put them somewhere remote and expect to get good business
just because they can charge bargain basement prices. I guess the fact that
I'm having to re-explain myself shows I made my point very poorly.

Geography /= talent or quality. Experienced hands on good tools do. Paying
clients will generally not accept inconvenience and inexperience only for
the sake of a low price.
