The SqueezeZoom was the companion effects box to the Vital switcher line
(of Gainesville, FL). We used one on the CBS Evening News. As I recall,
the effects weren't editable after they were built, and I can remember
the director regularly driving the TD nuts by asking him to add another
move to the middle of an effect after the TD had spent the previous five
minutes building it -- it required going back and building the move from
scratch, usually with two minutes to air.
