[Tig] Scopes

Ahh, I see my question was not clear enough.
As a non colorist I'd probably best of seeing a photo of a running 'scope' 
device to proof my imagination.

Currently I think of it like a radar or a oscilloscope, just for colour 
data, and with a cross in the middle for the gray axis. Much like a colour 
space view on top of the CIE*L (or YCbCr? Y) axis. Any chance?

I use typical 3D colour space viewer applications.
