Sad news from Technicolor/Hollywood:

Sergio Lopez, 43, a veteran telecine assistant and videotape operator in
Hollywood, died after sustaining injuries in a traffic accident in
Chatsworth on October 25th.

Lopez attended Pasadena City College in the early 1980s, and began his
career working for The Z Channel in Los Angeles. He later worked for several
video post-production companies and networks, including Image Transform,
NBC, Modern Videofilm, and Hollywood Digital. He had been an employee of
Technicolor¹s Complete Post division in Hollywood since 2001.

A funeral service for Lopez is being held on Wednesday, November 7, at
10:30AM at St. Aloysius Church, 125 East Pleasant Avenue, Tulare,
California.

On a personal note: Sergio was always a pleasure to work with, and had a
good attitude and was very good at what he did. He had a terrific sense of
humor, and always helped get through long sessions with a smile, and I know
he was well-liked throughout the industry. Sergio will be sorely missed
among those who knew him, and he'd been in the LA area for at least 25
years.
