I think we've talked about this before, and I'm so sorry for you, because 
ATSC really works well (though I wish there was also an analog side band lo-fi 
audio channel for when one is near the "cliff"). I'd be tempted to A. set up a 
reflector somewhere, or B. try and get the neighbors into an antenna pool.

I have the problem at my office of being in the lee of the 4th street hill, 
so I don't have any line-of-sight to Mt. Wilson. My antenna is pointed upwards 
at an east-facing wall to catch the multipath. As such, the signal also 
sometimes gets ripped to shreds by overflying propellor aircraft.
