Can you get an EDL of the tape you're working from? If you can get the EDL without source timecode, and just the submaster TC, you'll b e able to import the edl into Davinci, and you're problems should go away... works for most of the projects I work on anyway. Avoid all manual marking in Davinci ( off HD tape sources ), or even Automark if possible... especially from D5 tape.
