Hi Jim,

I don't think you'll be throwing any 'Frames' away - in both 60P and  
60i, you still get 60 images per second. The loss would be more  
spatial than temporal as the vertical resolution of the 1080i images  
would be reduced to 540(x1920) versus 720P's 720(x1024). So, granted,  
we can agree that there would some degradation to the vertical  
resolution of the image, but it could be a reasonable solution  
(depending on the project/budget/schedule I suppose) especially since  
I have never had much luck with 720P on our daVinci myself.

Maybe someone who has jumped through this 720/60P hoop with their 2K  
can chime in...
