Writers are the only group in the industry that can continue to produce work
while they're striking, and once it's over, simply submit the scripts they've
been doing while "on strike". 

Of course they voted overwhelmingly for it. To them, a strike is thought of as
simply being a period of slightly deferred income, while the rest of us are
screwed.
