Not sure everyone realizes just how much production and post work (some of it
quite high end) goes on without any scopes present. I sometimes have to argue,
then insist, that a scope be rented for productions I work on. Mostly I win,
occasionally I lose and walk away from the job.
Running without one makes it mandatory that a very good monitor, set up very
well, in optimum viewing conditions, be used to evaluate the images, and the
person doing the work understand what they're seeing.
I suggest that those who can't or won't use a scope are incapable of having or
doing any of the items noted in the preceding paragraph.
The digital dumbing down of the industry continues.
