Hi!
To be honest I dont feel the same degree of annoyance
as you Bob. I feel that it's been almost 3 years now
with tiger and alot has changed especially with macs.
I do believe it was time to jump to a new OS version
with 64 bit support for multi-core processing, not to
mention imbeded boot camp and "Time Machine" (a
feature which Windows had YEARS ago and was something
Tiger was lacking).
And as for the so-called "beta being release as actual
retail", well ... I think all OS's are the same in
that domain. Let's face it, the first version of an OS
is always the most flawed, and you might get burnt if
you get into the hype of things. Windows 95 was awful
and took years before it got somewhere reasonably
stable (?) with Windows 98SE, Ditto XP.
My 2 cents.
