This is why it was still possible to purchase older versions of the
Windows OS for several years after a major release. It allowed time
for bugs to be wrung out and for the users to transition. But with
Apple, shipments of Tiger stopped the day before Leopard hit the
streets and Tiger is officially not supported any more. All new
machines come with Leopard and unless you can find a box still in
inventory, it will not be possible to purchase Tiger any more.
I assume that since you are happy with Leopard you must already be
productively using it without work stoppage. Since I installed it on
Friday I have spent quite a few hours working to get the system to do
everything it did before. It still does not quite do everything it
did before.
