[Tig] Latest HDR Display Prototype

I believe this is the panel that Dolby was showing at HPA in prototype  
form with w-leds.  WIthout a doubt it looked really promising.   
Viewing angle, uniformity and overall color reproduction looked far  
better than almost any other "new" technology I've seen.

Most of the material being shown, if memory serves was animation  
although there were a few cuts from a beautiful shot and colored "Hero- 
esque" show and the motion felt clean and crisp at a glance.  It was  
being shown side by side with a Samsung consumer grade lcd panel of  
the same size and there was simply no comparison in any way shape or  
form... other than that you can actually by the Samsung panel.

Sadly I didn't have the chance to break out the probe and Truelight  
and put it to the test.

Dolby said that they were currently entering the licensing phase for  
the technology and we're hoping that the rgb-led version would be in  
the field sooner rather than later.

Disclaimer: I look at monitors quite often, have been known to  
calibrate them and work for Filmlight
