I would first investigate to see what sort of post-processing you 
really need/want to do to your images as well as what the capabilities 
of Arrilaser are.  You may be able to go directly from your SD files 
and image them directly (with scaling and adjustments within the 
ArriLaser) using the Arrilaser.

Regardless, capturing the SD tape to 720x576 YCbCr DPX is a good idea 
for a starting point.  Processing low-grade images at a higher 
resolution often does more harm than good (and requires more 
resources) so you need to take care.
