You should fit your size into an Academy window and record to Academy
aperture (1828x1332).
Keep the pixels square.

You will have to convert from video transfer function to linear, and
then use
lin2log node in Shake to get it approximately to Cineon printing
density (not 10-bit log).
Cineon printing density is loosely 10-bit log with a gamma 0.6
starting at code value 95.
(This depends on your recorder calibration though. If it is
calibrated to pure log
or linear then you could film out using those cals.)
The biggest missing piece is that there is no color conversion step
so far. You
would most likely have to do a trim pass using a film preview LUT at
this step
to be sure that the color intent you want is approximately in the files.
You could try an automatic conversion, but it is possible to still
have problems
with this approach. And by automatic, I mean run through a matrix or
3DLUT
that goes from rec601 color space to CPD color space. The latter is
a non-linear
space that has the color characteristics of a negative film, so a
matrix only is
again just a rough approximation.
