[Tig] SD-SDI telecine out to capture device that will create DPX or similar files

Howdy from the City with the Golden Gate.

I'm trying to research something for a client who wants to take the
SD-SDI output of a small-gauge telecine and generate "full-frame
image sequences (DPX or similar) without having to build my own frame-
grabber."

In a less than comprehensive glance, it looks like AJA's Kona 3, Xena
or similar cards may do what he wants.

Won't see the client's facility until 10 a.m. this morning, so I
don't know whether the facility is Mac, Windows, Linux and/or (insert
OS here).

From the context of the question, it occurs to ask whether he's
intending to use the DPX or similar as motion image files, or just
pulling stills for DVD case creation.

Suggestions appreciated... and hope you all are heading for a smooth
Friday and restful weekend.
