I replaced an aging Sony with one of these last year, and I've been
very happy with it. Good resolution, good color rendition, and the
solid blacks and interlaced playback that CRTs excel at (I regularly
work with both SD and HD footage). The only disadvantage is that it's
a bit small, but fortunately my clients are usually fine sitting
closer to my desk.
Given how technology has been going I figure this is the last CRT
I'll ever buy (I believe even this model has been discontinued by
JVC), and I'm hoping it lasts until a generally agreed upon suitable
replacement monitoring technology comes along.
-Alexis
ps. I have no relationship with JVC.
