2 X 72 - which is 2 x (24 x 3).

Presumably 3 x 24fps for flicker-free projection, then doubled as they
interleave left and right eyes.

I saw some 100P projection the other day - impressive. Plus a slow-mo of
a 300P capture, which was pin sharp frame by frame.

a quote:

"Digital projectors do a much better job of handling the high frame
rates (144 frames per second) demanded by 3D that can preserve the
details of a scene."

that's from
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7213534.stm

what determines the 144 fps?
