Right, but with the standard HD-SR the compression ratio changes:

4:2:2 recording --> compression ratio is 2.7/1
4:4:4 recording --> compression ratio is 4.2/1

So it is either more color sampling and less detail or the other way 
around. You just have to find the best setting for your projects, like 
we tend to record animated cartoon films in 4:2:2 as they tend to have 
less color variances anyway and it helps sharp outlines, but use 4:4:4 
for live action.
